Meet Our Clinician

Pauline

Johnston Plumb Aesthetics would like to introduce our lead clinician, Pauline.

Pauline has a passion for education and continual learning. Graduating from the University of Maynooth with a degree in History and Ancient Classics, she joined the Royal Corps of Signals in 1997 before transferring to the Queen Alexandra Royal Army Nursing Corps in 2000 to commence her training as a registered adult nurse.

Pauline was the first member of the British Armed Forces to undertake the new Nursing Degree programme, graduating from the University of Portsmouth in 2003 with her Nursing registration. Immediately after qualifying she was deployed to Iraq as an Intensive Care nurse, treating injured frontline soldiers.

Upon returning from deployment, Pauline was posted to Germany in a Primary Healthcare role, and this is where she found her passion within nursing. She adapted to the role well and became a valued member of the healthcare team. Subsequently she was posted to Birmingham and took up a position on the lecturing staff, training military nurses of the future. At this time Pauline attended and graduated from the University of Bangor where she gained her Master’s in Education.

Pauline returned to primary care nursing, working in diverse and challenging roles, including medical centres in Kenya, Cyprus and Northern Ireland, where she continued to undertake courses relevant to her profession.

Upon leaving the military, Pauline graduated from Sheffield Hallam University, obtaining the status of Advanced Nurse Practitioner, before going on to gain her Nurse Prescribing qualification.

Having spent many years in front line nursing, Pauline decided it was time to take a step back and focus on a new area of interest, that being aesthetic nursing, true to form she passed the necessary courses and obtained her Aesthetic Clinician qualification, enabling her to provide aesthetic treatments to the public, and so Johnston Plumb Aesthetics was born.

We look forward to welcoming you to Johnston Plumb Aesthetics
